Routine individual in-person consultation is generally unavailable when the expected drive is more than approximately one hour each way.
Towns that will commonly fall into or approach this category include:
North Region: Enfield, Somers, Stafford, Union, Putnam, Thompson, Woodstock, Sterling, Killingly, Danielson, and surrounding northeastern communities.
South Region: Mystic, North Stonington, Stonington, Pawcatuck, Voluntown, and communities near the Rhode Island border.
West Region: Most towns beyond the Waterbury–Naugatuck–Cheshire area, including Danbury, Bridgeport, Fairfield, Norwalk, Stamford, Greenwich, New Milford, Torrington, Litchfield, Salisbury, and surrounding western or northwestern communities.

Multiple individuals at the same residence, program, or agency
Several referrals that can be organized into one route
Full-day or concentrated consultation blocks

Travel availability is based on the specific service address and expected driving time rather than town designation alone. Traffic, appointment timing, route development, and current caseload may affect whether a referral can be accepted.
This keeps East Haven, Groton, or another borderline town from being automatically rejected merely because one address or travel estimate approaches an hour.
